We Build Better Humans, Issue #12: SELF-LOVE
This issue features: 1. Blueprints to guided awareness || 2. Tools of the Trade: New tools each Tuesday || 3. Hello, discounts!
Self-love is hard. At least for me. I absorbed a lot of (inaccurate) messages growing up that I just can’t seem to let go of, right or wrong:
“You’re doing it wrong.”
“You’re not good enough at this.”
“Your feelings are getting in the way of everything.”
“Stop being so YOU.”
Well. How do you love that??

Last week, I got one of my favorite kinds of inbox goodies: A guided meditation all about self-love. I knew before I even clicked “open” that I was going to love-love-love it. Why? Well, it was a recording of a live-event activity that I had participated in a few years before: David Bayer’s POWERFUL LIVING EXPERIENCE conference, Day 2 group meditation. It was a phenomenal experience that I loved in the moment. So, what a gift to get it again!
There are so many *excellent* guided meditations for self-love, self-esteem, self-forgiveness & more. (We even have one here at We Build Better Humans on boundaries!)
But some of my fave guided exercises—to receive & to share with others—are the customized ones; bespoke meditations or visualizations that answer the call in the moment to erase needs & provide solutions. Filling my well is an ongoing life mission. I have met so many fellow-travelers along the way who are doing the same. Can you relate?
It’s become a personal passion to build up a whole library of custom recordings here that anyone can choose. So, jump on our poll & share what you’d like! After all, I can’t do this (or self-love, frankly) alone.
Free subscribers to this newsletter may be curious about a new development that arrived just last week: Our “Tuesday Tools” installment. A benefit to paid subscribers, this add-on features one of 365 “Mood Tools,” or in-the-moment exercises (like the Coach Kiki proprietary BMT Index™) that help mood noobs (that’s you & me, friend) learn what no one ever taught us: that our feelings matter & we can manage them through acceptance.
As an added, personal thanks for feeding my soul by feeding your head with these resources, I’d like to help you feed your family & friends the HelloFresh way: This is my personal discount code that gives you $20 off your first order. Yep, I benefit, too. And, yes, that is a screenshot of my cell phone. We’re keeping it the realest here in all the ways. Use this code to:
• Fuel your body.
• Feed your soul.
• Fulfill your dreams.
I believe in you.
One last shout-out of thanks to Universal Love Clothing, one of the main underwriters of the Tune In: Radio for Your Mind, Body & Soul podcast & radio show …
