We Build Better Humans, Issue #4 - SCHOOLING EACH OTHER
This issue features: 1. Blueprints to lifelong learning || 2. Tools of the Trade: How to level up creative thinking from the School of Thought nwsltr || 3. DailyOm's fast fixes for crafting community
It’s the end of August—which is commonly known in most U.S. circles as the beginning of fall, since many communities are heading back to school.
You may have a different rhythm at your house. But new seasons are great times to focus on ways to live on purpose, no matter what you’re transitioning to or from in August. And if you are a lifelong student as I am, it’s always the right time to focus on education with intention.
Today, I’m sharing another fave Pinterest board that you can also join: The Home Learning Ideas group board. Contribute, gather or simply scroll the ideas for making lessons out of life for kiddos from infants to teens. (Special thanks to my sis, Karrin Marquell, of Southwest Montessori School for the add!)
I’m a Substack subscriber, too (no surprise!) … and my inbox is bursting right now with so much great content. This week, I MUST share with you some especially poignant & thought-provoking insights from the School of Thought newsletter:
The article has nuggets and gems for parents & teachers alike—like, “Welcome play at all ages” & “Be comfortable with ambiguity.”
What if you just don’t have the support you need to implement all these great ideas? That’s a common reality for a lot of us, even without the global pandemic. My hubby & I live in a community that’s hours away from our closest family, where neither of us is originally from, so … #relatable.
With this concept top of mind in the back-to-school fall season, I was more than eager to click to read my weekly DailyOM inbox article on Cultivating Community. It’s a fast read with step-by-steps for the baby steps of creating your own special group of trust.
This fall, my podcast—Tune In: Radio for Your Mind, Body & Soul—is featuring parents, business owners & community leaders from all the corners who are living life on purpose. We’re calling it the Cycle Breaker Series, & you can find links to your fave episodes & interviews—plus interact with guests—at our Facebook group. Join us!
