“I remember the moment,” JoAnn Crohn, M.Ed. — “the No Guilt Mom — writes in this week’s inbox link.
She’s talking about the moment she’d had enough & had to make a change. Here’s what she describes (maybe you can relate):
“It was the day after Christmas, & I had just finished all the shopping, had done all the wrapping, & organized all the meals — on top of keeping up with my own job, taking the kids to their after-school activities, & managing my son’s frequently intense emotions.
“I sat on the couch & cried. Huge, heaving, trying-to-catch-my-breath sobs.
“There I was doing EVERYTHING & still feeling like a huge disappointment.”
Her solution? The Mind Body Unicorn program for parents (& especially moms — though I personally believe any kiddo-caregiver could easily qualify for this event): a 6-week challenge with group accountability for only $49. With journal prompts, coaching calls, goal-setting & group portals, the focus is on shifting your mindset, healing your body & ultimately, gaining more energy in your day.
Love templates? Here’s a New Year package with even more printable prompts & helpers to love: April & Eric Perry’s (of Learn Do Become) Create Your Day command center tools for 2023.
The above quote & image arrived in both my biz & personal inboxes the day after Christmas, a great reminder of the importance of planning or visioning through the mature lens of experience. The sender, Best Self Co., is a journal maker company with tools (printable & otherwise) for self-reflection every day of the year … & particularly these new $10 digital tools for conducting an “annual review” at the kid level. (Hint: There are grownup versions, too.)
