Are you scared??
😡 😊 😢 😰
Mad, glad, sad & scared: They’re what I call the four corners of feelings. Each on their own, they can still be A LOT. If you find that one of them seems to be an ongoing issue in your life, you may find this issue’s resources personally helpful.
Advocating for Anger?
Suzanne Tucker of Generation Mindful (a.k.a. Gen:M) is one of my favorite people on the planet. She’s engaged with her community, genuinely people-oriented & just all-around generous with her time & contributions to the world. It shows in the great line of products she’s created & continues to curate through her company.
But Suzanne Tucker recently got publicly mad.
When hackers took over her widely-followed Facebook page, she immediately took action. … And when that didn’t change the situation, she SPOKE UP FOR HERSELF——repeatedly. When still nothing changed, Suzanne found bigger allies to advocate on her behalf.
You can watch the video to see the results. And when you do, remember: Self-advocating can be the result of anger that’s used usefully. And that is perfectly okay.
Listening as an Antidote to False Happiness
What if what we call “laziness” is often really the social mask for emotional exhaustion? What if each of us has a story to tell … that isn’t being heard?
shares these ideas & more in his many narrative content forms——including music, podcasts &, yes, Substack newsletters. Recently, over at his Storytelling Alchemist newsletter, he invited readers/listeners/viewers/subscribers (so, all of us) to share feelings in a gentle way with no pressure to perform. What that looks like is in part up to you. … And isn’t that refreshing? What to do When We’re Sad …
