Centering Thought: Just as potentially toxic foods can taste bitterly unpleasant, my too-full stores of resentment can harden into emotional bitterness that poisons my outlook, so to speak. And just as I stored my resentments one by one, I can slowly practice the self-awareness that brought me to see my tainted outlook, gradually unblocking my negative, bitter perspective. I can feel and heal. I am allowed to change when I am ready to change, even incrementally.
